imonlcd problem

Post by dacorsa » Tue Sep 22, 2009 2:40 am

hi,

i have compilated lcdproc but when i run LCDd i see on lcd only 8 characters that run too fast...how can i solve this??

i found some people that said to use thisd trick:

"Hi, I've resolved the problem adding a 2ms delay between data sendings. It seems that in newer faster computers we were sending commands to the device too fast. The change is trivial, just add "usleep(2000);" to the send_byte_data function in /usr/src/lcdproc/server/drivers/imonlcd.c:

static void send_byte_data(unsigned char data[], int fd)
{
write(fd, data, 8);
usleep(2000);
}

If it doesn't work in your case or starts failing again, try to increase the delay."

In the last version of lcdproc this string there isn't anymore and someone tell me that usleep command don't exist....i have to use nanosleep

Can i solve my problem with nanosleep command? what i have to mod to solve this problem?

thanks!
