how to blank screen?

I'm using my iMON with the AT standby power adapter so that I can switch on my PC with the IR. The only problem is that the display stays on and displays whatever was last when the machine is switched off. What would be the best way to blank the screen?

I use:

Code: Select all

echo -n " " > /dev/lcd0
You could put that in the shutdown script for LCDd or another appropriate place.

Well, I had trouble integrating that into my system. I ended up modifying the source code. Now when the driver is closed it blanks the screen.
