You can grab it at http://www.migratingcoconuts.com/pub/patches/lircrc It's probably not perfect, but it works well for me.

can you send me your remote.conf that you use for vdr?

thanks!
Sorry, you're out of luck. I don't use VDR, and I use Gentoo, so I don't have a remote.conf. I could share my lircrc for MythTV and Xine, though.

Aside from changing the display_type parameter, I really don't know what to tell you. Sorry.

Updated lircd.conf for lirc 0.8.5 with imon-pad

Well, the good news is that lirc 0.8.5 has incorporated the pad2keys patch so you no longer have to apply it separately. The bad news is that the button codes changed but the supplied lircd.conf.imon-pad was not updated accordingly. After a lot of pain, I managed to get a new, working version. I hav...

Re: patch to make the imon PAD generate mouse events

Take a look here: http://codeka.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=40 They don't say which kernel version it's for, but maybe it will help you. I'm still on 2.6.25, so I don't know.

Re: iMON PAD as arrow keys?

I realize it's been a while since you posted this, but you might try grabbing the "imon_pad2keys" patch from gentoo. Converts the pad input into directional keys.

If you're using Gentoo or another portage-based distribution, you can just use that lirc package and set LIRC_DEVICES="imon_pad2keys" in your make.conf file. If you're using a different distro, you can copy the patch from that package (it's derived from the original patch, but without the mouse supp...

Re: Can't get patch to take effect

So I'm running fully-updated FC6 (2.6.18-1.2849.fc6-i686 kernel). I installed LIRC with yum via the instructions given in various MythTV setup guides: yum -y install lirc-lib yum -y install lirc-kmdl-$KVER yum -y install lirc But in order to apply the patch(s) discussed here, I had to get the curre...

I believe there were some changes to the USB subsystem in recent kernels that removed the .owner field at least, and maybe the .mode as well. Also, Gentoo officially only supports udev now, so devfs should go away. That means you should comment out the line including the devfs header. Try commenting...

Re: Reasuming

The problem is in the fact, that the joystick doesn't produce a normal otuput of a 4/8/16/32 way joystick, but something totally different, dependant on mode, preasure, dirrection and probabelly a lot more stuff. That's correct--like the previous poster noticed, without any patch you'll see the raw...

Re: Whats happened?

I installed lirc and lcdproc as per instructions. Everything worked after installation. Message on vfd and mode2 was responding with values. I had to reboot the machine, for other reasons, and now nothing is working. I run lirc. No error messages come up, but when I try mode2 I get this: john@Silve...

Re: how to blank screen?

I'm using my iMON with the AT standby power adapter so that I can switch on my PC with the IR. The only problem is that the display stays on and displays whatever was last when the machine is switched off. What would be the best way to blank the screen? I use: echo -n " " > /dev/lcd0 You could put ...

SiliconFiend I noticed in your lircd.conf you are only using single mouseclicks? Why not use both events generated from the mousbuttons, e.g. press and release. Atleast in the lircd.conf they both should be available no? MouseRightClickRls 0x688281B7 MouseRightClickDown 0x688481B7 MouseLeftClickRls...
