iMON Plugin for LIRC

LIRC with iMON support is available at the LIRC website beginning with version 0.7.1.

You can also download LIRC directly from the LIRC CVS repository. Instructions for downloading and compiling the LIRC CVS sources can also be found at the LIRC CVS page.

Prerequisites:

  • You must have the kernel source or headers in /usr/src/linux that exactly match your running kernel.
  • Make sure you have libtool-1.3.3 or higher, autoconf 2.13 or higher and automake 1.5 or higher installed.

Installation:

  • Download the source from the LIRC CVS repository.
  • Run autogen (./autogen.sh)
  • Run the setup script (./setup.sh)
  • Select the Soundgraph iMON driver under the USB menu
  • Save and configure as usual, followed by make and make install (as root)
  • modprobe as usual (modprobe lirc_dev followed by modprobe lirc_imon)
  • Start lircd as usual. The config files for the various iMON remotes are in remotes/imon and the appropriate file is installed in /etc/lircd.conf during make install.

Installation:

  • Untar the tarball (tar xvzf lcdproc-0.4.5-imon.tgz)
  • Prepare the installation (aclocal; autoheader; autoconf; automake -a)
