LC10M with iMon PAD IR/VFD

Ok, So I've been messing with this for a couple days trying to get information off a few differnt sites.

Is there a howto anywhere that will help me get this set up?
I've followed all the instructions on the venky.ws page, and I still cant get anything on my VFD to show up. Nor can I seem to get any IR functionality.
As a matter of fact /dev/lirc0 isnt there, even after I modprobe the two kernel modules. I'm using knoppmyth, and I made sure to edit the prefix on both packages to install over the ones that knoppmyth already installed.

If there is no howto that can help me.. Any ideas?

Ok, So I finally have IR working. I do have one issue with it though.

I cant seem to get the sensitivity down to where it needs to be. Maybe I just dont understand the lircd config file docs. When I hit enter, or esc on my remote it sends multiple signals to the machine, which hops through menus.
Obviously, not a desired effect. I've messed with setting the delay, and repeat options to low, and high values 0-100 and a combination of the two.

What should I be trying?


Also, What other advice can you guys give me on getting my VFD to work. I have not been able to get anything displayed on it as of yet.
